can anyone explain the difference between the express 1500&2500 models?
why is the 2500 heavier? Is there any difference in the ride on the two

Re: Difference between 1500&2500

Hi
1500 is a quart ton
2500 is a half ton
This is all to do with how much load you are allowed to carry
Engine sare the same
hope this helps

Welcome to AF
1500 is considered a 1/2 ton rated van.
2500 is considered a 3/4 ton rated van.
3500 is considered a one ton van

The bigger the number the more weight carrying capacity.

Some are more than others.
There is light and heavy made ones in each model depending on springs and axles and tires
Always check the door sticker for the GVW weight rating.
Take a ride in a 1500 and than a 2500 or 3500 and you will be able to feel the ride difference.
