Re: Nissan 350Z ST option

That's a nice looking car and the decals are awesome! What did you clear it with? Any fear/hint of trouble with the decals? Sorry, I always ask this question, I'm paranoid about it, I just have to do my own and learn the hard way I think.

Re: Nissan 350Z ST option

Very nice so far, the shine is absolutely good, and the rims are good choice also! What color do you plan for the interior? Maybe some red/black combo?

I had no problems with the decals. Just use Microsol SOL and a hairdryer.
I clearcoated it with Tamiya TS-13.

And for the interior it will be flat black/red and aluminium (maybe carbon) details.

Re: Nissan 350Z ST option

Today I completed the interior.

I didn't use any accesoires except for the interiorflocking. The rest is a custom idea of colorsheme.

I think it looks great.

Now it's time to start and finish the chassis in a week, because the 18th it must be completed for a competetion here.

Kris.

I'm in love with this Z.
The combination of paint, decals, interior colours, and wheels works extremely well.

Re: Nissan 350Z ST option

Thanks guys

Yesterday I started with the chassis.

First I modified the PE discbrakes to fit on the chassis. I also modified the calipers to fit it on the discbrakes.

After that I replaced the ugly exhaustends for metal parts. I think it looks 10 times beter

The exhaust was first painted silver, followed by some tamiya wheatering and after all I clearcoated it.

Now this was done, I painted all the chassis parts and glued it together. The last thing was wheatering the chassis.

I also completed the body. I added a nismo licenceplate and the other left-over parts.

and this is how it stands now:

I only have to add these things together and than it's finished.

I hope to finish it today or tomorrow.

Kris.

Re: Nissan 350Z ST option

Great Work! One small suggestion. Cut the decals at the door openings - or apply a wash to simulate the darker door opening lines.

Re: Nissan 350Z ST option

Nice work, Love the colour & carbon
Q. I think I noticed in one of the first photos that the exhaust & suspension are seperate parts, is this correct? The only reason I ask is that Tamiyas 350Z has EVERYTHING molded to the chassis and I really wanted to do a custom exhasust on mine. Cant wait to see it finished

Yes the suspension are separate parts. And it's already finished guys... someone pulled up this old wip from me

In the completed section you can find it with the same title.
