Actually I do have zbrush and sculpting is way to fun, yet you are still putting a lot of time into zbrush projects as well, the cool thing about zbrush is that you can set up presets of brushes and make bumps and such other details. Side to that, zbrush is a app that is good for organic modeling as to 3Ds Max does both, but is strong when it comes to hard surface modeling. When getting started it can be tough and frustrating, but when you start knowing what you are doing it can be fun like sculpting. I am still learning things in car modeling, and I don't think it will ever stop lol but one thing I know, is that I improved and that modeling a car is going faster for me at this point. I just never give up.
