Dimmer Switch Problem

Hey everyone im here from the celica guys because iv got a Problem with the family car.
I have a 2001 Mazda Mpv with a dimmer switch that keeps blowing itself. The car has been through 3 switches in about 125000 miles. Ill be driving down the road and turn the lights on and everything will work but say i turn the brights on... they come one but Wont go off when i turn the switch back to Regular.. Now all it does is stay on the brights any time you turn the lights on. Also if you have the lights off during the day and turn on your turnin signal.. it may have the headlights blink or the radio lights and dash lights blink. Its been the same with every replacement. If you guys could give me any suggestions id appreciate it. Id love to find the REAL problem before i go spend another 80 bucks on a switch and it blow again in 25000 miles.
