1993 jeep gc no spark
im working on a 93 jeep gc limited 6cyl for a friend. this thing has already been worked on by god knows how many people. heres whats going on, the jeep died. so they started replacing parts. they changed the ignition switch, crank position sensor, had the coil checked, and finally the pcm. which did get the fuel pump relay and stuff working again it was taken to a shop and they said to do the pcm. but now it dont have any spark i know the dist has gotten some moisture in it. im waiting on it to be towed to my house so i can dry it out, and see what that does. i dont know much about the jeeps ignition system, im guessing there is a pickup coil in there that triggers the ignition? any idea would be helpful. thanks in advance.

Re: 1993 jeep gc no spark
First off Check for spark at the Coil, if no - then test for power at the Coil power Wires. 2. Does the CHECK ENGINE light come on when you turn the key to the ON position?

Re: 1993 jeep gc no spark
sorry i left that out. there is a single spark that comes from the coil when you fisrt crank it, then nothing. he had the coil checked, and it checked good. of the two wires to the coil the thicker red-orange one has power when the engine is being cranked. as far as the check engine light i am unsure becuase i was having someone crank it for me... i going to get this thing up here tomorrow where i can get it in the garage. thanks terry
