87 crx si to k24a4

I have a 87 si that I have already swapped out the stock engine to a d16a1 out of a 87 teg. The car runs great but I just had a 03 accord with major rear end damage dropped in my lap. The engine is a k24a4-1. Is it worth it to do the swap or should I just sell the engine? The accord still runs fine and is a complete donor car minus the rear end damage. I have no interest in fixing the accord so tell me what you think. Thanks in advance for any interest in my post.

I understand that I can get $ for the engine but I am just wondering if this swap is possible and what problems I might have along the way.

You could take the CRX, cut the nose off of it and weld the accord nose to it.... That's going to be the easiest way, honestly. I hate to break it to you.

Re: 87 crx si to k24a4

Just to reinforce the idea in your head:

K24A4 engine + 84-87 CRX = "bang, crash, cut, chop, weld, destroy, rebuild, drive, hit bump, wreck, DIE."

The K-series engine barely fits in a 88-91 CRX or Civic... they have HUGE engine compartments compared to the 84-87. You'd be better off selling this engine for $2000 and building a B16. You'd still have a decent all around racer, and it wouldn't seriously offset your car's balance.

You can mount it, it has been done before. Check redpepperracing.com there is an aussie member with one.

^^^^^yep, it's been done. Alot of custom fabrication since there is no kit for this swap. As mentioned above, check RPR for more info.
