well not sure if it's suppose to be here or motorsports. it's not 100% street but it's a fantasy nostalgic racer style. here it is.
the kit is has not chassis detail at all. its a motorized style chassis. so i'll be using another chassis that i have stored in my spare parts box. as for the interior of the kit well, it sucks too. it has a shallow tub for clearance of what ever goes under there. sooo i'll be using the stock dash, but i'll be scratch making the rest of it. since most of the older toyota's use similar chassis' ill be using different referances. from celica to the corolla. hope you enjoy. some flares to widen it up a bit. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() some spoiler work. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() cut the hood open for some engine work. i wont be using the 2jz, too new. i'm a try to make a replica toyota 3M engine. found in the celica 2000GT. inline 6 dohc w/triple carbs. ![]() iv'e been working on the chassis as well, so ill have some pics of that soon. thanks for looking. c&c welcomed. |

Re: 73 corona mkII fantasy racer??
Which kit is this? You know, this MkII is kind of a legend here in Finland (an insider joke), the body proportions don't seem quite right, but I'm surely interested in this one.

Re: 73 corona mkII fantasy racer??
Well, it is not anything spectacular, a Finnish comedy team called "Kummeli" made a song and a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ycAr...eature=related
Truth is, the car was quite a popular here as new, and in the end of 1980'ies it was found again by youngsters, because it was so cheap. Of course, by that time they were not anymore in good shape but rather rusty. That is about the "song" is telling about, how to "tune" your MkII |

yeah tell me about it. i'm already working on that. im cutting up a skyline chassis for that. did allot of cutting there. as for the interior i'll be doing a gutted version. no electronics or fancy gadgets in there. just a roll cage, bucket seats w/harness' and fire extinguisher.
