Slight rattling noise...

I have a 96 civic with 84k miles on it. Off and on, something under the hood makes a squeaky rattling noise, not too loud, but annoying. it seems to increase when the car is shaken or hit bumps too, also i can hear it when the door is closed. do i have a loose belt or something? i'm not sure, and i don't want to take it to the dealer and spend $ to have them check it out.

is it when the car is ideling too? it could be your hood is not tight adjust the little rubber stops under the hood. It could also be a belt i don't know

I found out it was my hood rattlign against my streetglow underbody neon distirbutor mounted on the strut roof. Relocated it now...
