Trying to find paints for these.

I figured this would be a good place to ask this. I can't find paints to achieve what I'm looking for.

I would like to achieve the look on the bottom of this fish:

And the look of the top of this fish:

Where can I find paints to do this?

You might check out some of the Alclad paints, I believe they might have some paints that you can achieve similar effects.

FGS let it back in the water.

PS: You would need the right shade of white covered with some pearl clear.

Look for a paint called PearlEx.

Re: Trying to find paints for these.

For the colors try the various websites offered by the previous posters or take a trip into the cosmetics isle of you local retail store. You will find many irridescent paints with very fine grains that should be perfect for what you need.

For the technique, as mentioned previously, consult, an airbrushing forum. You will find the scalloping technique you need will not be difficult to execute but very labor intensive. You will almost certainly need a fine airbrush.

I see this is your first post. Welcome to the forum.

Good Luck!
