Question about gauges

I have a question regarding gauges. I want to put real gauges in my 81 Impala (oil psi, water temp, voltage, tach) instead of the stock idiot lights, and i am wondering, since a camaro gauge cluster has all those gauges in it, will an older 80s camaro cluster fit in my impala? Thanks.

Re: Question about gauges

I dont think so. Personally, I would look into finding a dakota digital dash or the similar one made by nordskorg.

Re: Question about gauges

The Dakota dash is probably out of price range ... definitely nice but even I wouldn't spring for it under the current conditions.

There is an alternative and that's the U21 gauge cluster that came in the SEO 9C1 spec cars. It was even available in 1981 as a factory component of the 9C1 package. You can see it in the image below (above to the CB mic).

U21 gauges? I have never heard of those. I looked it up on ebay and google, and found nothing. The 9C1 120 mph speedo is hard enough to find in early-80s, i can't imagine how hard it would be to locate a set of those...although it does look pretty good in that setup.

If I just knew the dimensions of both the F-body and B-body instrument bezels I would have my answer. I can make them connect right, provided the whole thing would fit in the end.
