I have a 97 Diamante that I normally have loved for 8 years. I replace tires and brake parts as needed and have a new problem. I have had a constant battery drain for 6 months, it would drain the battery sometimes in 3 days, I ride a motorcycle in the spring and summer months and seldom drive her then. I would just keep a float charger on it with the neg cable loose, until I tried to start it a few days ago and now it wont attempt to start. I removed the starter and had it tested, it is fine. I have the feeling it is the alarm. This car came to the US with no alarm and a CodeAlarm was installed. I have had no locking capabilities with the key fob for years, it still unlocked it fine, just no locking it with the fob. I am lost as this car has way too many circuits, relays and the like for me to find the needle in the haystack. I would love some suggestions as to what it might be. I have a digital repair manual but it is an Aussie version and I still cant follow some of the lingo.
