Buying a Lumina tomorrow
Hello, glad I found this site. You know how it is when you buy a used car, after some driving you notice the problems that were missed on the test drive. Hopefully there are some knowledgeable Lumina people here to help me fix everything.

Re: Buying a Lumina tomorrow
Thanks for the words. I don't like auto trannys in general but most have them. I'm fairly gentle on my vehicles and it may even have the same tranny as my old Grand Am which was still going strong when I gave it to my mother in-law. I'm fairly sure I can nurse it along for another 100k kms.
Edit: Hey, I just noticed you're a mechanic. Does it have the same tranny?

Re: Buying a Lumina tomorrow
Picked up the car today and I really like it so far. Shifts a little hard going into gear so it's getting a new tranny filter and oil on Friday. The fluid smells old.
