Axle shaft
Has anyone replaced an axle shaft on a 2004 grand prix? Or how much it might cost to have done? Thanks

Re: Axle shaft
Welcome to AF.
What issue are you having requiring replacement of an axle shaft? Replacing the axle shafts on a 2004 and up GP is the same as any late model GM car with FWD. Same basic process. See link below which covers the '97-'03 but applicable. Click here

Re: Axle shaft
The inner boot is torn. I am not sure how long it has been that way either. I live on a dirt road so I am pretty sure that the inner joint is now contaminated. I was told it is easier just replace the whole axle assembly.
