fuel pump question
hey my uncle just gave me his 99 pontiac gtp. it needs a fuel pump ( power going to the pump and no pressure at the rail).
most places carry the whole fuel pump assembly for roughly $200 - $400. however, i found a few places that sell just the pump for $50 - $100. http://www.directauto.com/product-ex...uilt_Fuel_Pump just wondering if anyone has ever done these and what is involved. i know with my 240sx its a relatively bolt in procedure. |

Re: fuel pump question
I never go aftermarket on fuel pumps-- just don't like the idea of changing them a lot-- let alone going rebuilt and aftermarket- sure the price looks good- but somehow, sitting away from home waiting on a tow truck is not my idea of fun- and I can justify the extra cost by avoiding the frustration I read about on a lot of these forums....I might try it on my old POS truck sometime-- but never the wife's vehicle.....
