Hard to Close and Lock Trunk

'07 Sonata and suddenly the trunk does not wish to latch unless you really slam the lid down. I have pulled the lower trim around the grab bar and raised the bar up as far as it will go, but still I have the issue. Does anyone know if the upper portion , the jaws, are adjustable downward? I have played with the lock unlock switch on the jaws and I know the jaws easily grab if I push a screw driver shaft up into the jaws, she is under warranty so i can go to the dealer it is just a long drive for what I see as a small problem.
