95 Gmc Sonoma Missing Badly

I BOUGHT A 98 SONOMA 4.3l. V-6 VORTEC GMC 4X4 . IT RAN FINE WHEN I TESTED IT. AFTER BUYING FROM PRIVATE PARTY, TRUCK MISSES LIKE CRAZY WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND DRIVING. IDELS GOOD THO.

SOMONE RAN A WIRE FROM THE FUEL TANK TO A HOT WIRE ON THE ENGINE. I HAVE NO CLUE WHY.

I HAVE REPLACED PLUGS, FUEL FILTER, AND CHECKED FOR VACCUUM LEAKS,.
I AM TOTALLY STUMPED NOW.........
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE OFFER SOME HELP ON THIS ONE..........
THANKS
STEVE

Welcome to AF. You need to do a full scan and look at all the sensor inputs, also check fuel pressure at the rail you need 65 psi.

Re: 95 Gmc Sonoma Missing Badly

i have a 4.3 88 jimmy and same thing happened to me just found out what it was.i started to check the wires and dis cap.so i pulled the spark plug wires off from the dis cap one by one and i noticed when i did one of them a mess of white powder came out of it.and my wires where loose.so i replaced the wires and now its fine.i was getting worried that maybe my timing chain was worn or something like that

make sure the wires on on tight at the dis cap.mine where not and i lifted one up and it had that white powder so i replaced them and its fine now.
