Thats very interesting, and it sounds like a better way to tune than the VE table. From what I've always heard is that the MAF has been a superior way for computers to read the air going into the engine rather than just have the car use a lookup table to assume whats going into the engine.

The computer in the '01 and beyond Chevy S-10 uses the LS1-style computer, so I have all of the stuff you have. I can do MAF tuning, VE, PE, torque management, all that good stuff. The problem I run into however, is the fact that GM decided to continue using an archaic fuel injection system with their 4.3L V6. Its like a mixed breed of a throttle body style injection system and multiport, and no one makes bigger injectiors for this setup. However, there is a conversion I can do by buying the intake and fuel rail setup they use with the 4.3L V6 in boats, and one day if I decide to do it, knowledge of this kind of tuning will come in real handy. Its crazy how powerful this HPTuners tool is, so much you can do with it.
