resistor location
I have a 95 bonneville sse and the heater blower does not work. I jumped the motor and it works fine. There is no fuse I can find. I have been told to check the resistor and I do not know where to find it. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Re: resistor location
The resistor is located next to your firewall under the relays under the hood. Remove the long cover that covers all your relays that is just above and behind the engine. Then remove the nuts (10mm nut driver or similar) that holds all the Relays along its assembly. My 97 Bonneville has 3, one at each end and a middle (?) one. Underneath it and to the left you will see the resistor with a 4 wire connector on top. If that checks good, you might check the blower relay.
Good luck. |

Re: resistor location
Do you have auto climate control?

Re: resistor location
I have the same problem with my 1990 Bonneville. What all have you tried to do? I've changed the blower, the climate control panel and the fuse.

Re: resistor location
Since my last post, I have not had much luck troubleshooting my problem which is a none functional blower motor. My resistor was bad earlier this year, but that was not the problem this time. When I then read 12 volts and a good ground wire going to my blower motor at the two wire connector, I bought a new one but it still does not work. I've asked a few electronic guys about it and they mentioned something about a P?S?M?(Pulse Signal something..) design that may not be pushing a proper voltage signal as normal. As much as I hate to say it, I dropped my car off at a local electrical repair shop and for $30.00, they will evaluate and advise what happened. If its worth sharing, I'll let you know how it turned out.

Re: resistor location
If you have the Electronic Climate Control, you will not have a resistor pack... You will how ever have a Blower Control Module... These can either fail on blower High or dead...

Re: resistor location
Turned out my Blower Motor Relay was bad.
