Car Died Lincoln Ls 2001
HERE IS THE DILEMA, I HAVE A 01 LINCOLN LS, V8 DROVE TO WORK AND THE CAR COMPLETELY DIED OUT ON THE INTERSECTION... DON'T KNOW WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM JUST BOUGHT THE CAR 3 DAYS AGO..... I NOTICED THAT THE BATTERY IS NOT GROUNDED IN THE TRUNK AND BASICALLY SHIFTING EVERY WERE COULD THAT BE THE PROBLEM...... OR SOMETHING ELSE... HELP

Welcome, yes the battery especally if it isn't grounded would be the first thing I would correct. The LS is very sensitive to a weak, dead battery or no ground and you will get a number of strange electronic happenings. I don't know how you even got it to start let alone run.

Actually, it was a blessing, but to my knowledge the battery was scorching hot when it apparently died in the intersection and everything just completely was dead.... So i will return to the dealer to see if this could be corrected... Not to mention This past Saturday it was trying to conk out during the process of driving and recharge it self back... Scary didn't know that this car would be having issues like this.... Thought it was my dream car.

Definitely get the battery fixed. As gcwimmer suggested, these cars have very sensitive electronic systems. I suspect by "not grounded" you really meant that the battery is not held down rather than the ground lead not being connected. If the ground lead is not connected, there would be nothing to complete the circuit and nothing in the car would work, including the starter.
If the battery is allowed to just bounce around, it could be self destructing internally. You can't hardly blame the car for that. Unfortunately, you'll probably have other opportunities to blame the car/engineering for issues.  -Rod

Thanks Rod, what you explain is correct the ground lead is not properly mounted to the car. The dealer ship replace the old battery because it was dead and replace a new one and it wasn't properly mounted. When you touch the battery handle you can shift side to side and up and down... That why i'm concern about the vehicle.... Thanks for the reply

if i was you i would take it back and have them mount it like it should be if it's still bouncing around in the back after they fixed it because you can run in to alot of problems. and i'm sure you don't want to go threw this again.
