Hello, I have a problem with the heating radiator on my old '95 v8, it leaks coolant. I have an Haynes shop manual and it seems an hard job to fix it, is it really like that or can you suggest me an easier way to reach it and fix it? Thanks

Re: Heathing system radiator
I going to assume you are talking about the heater core, the radiator that provides heat for the interior.
Yes it is a relatively difficult and time consuming job and there is no way around it. The dash must be removed on probably 98% vehicles to replace the core. You can easily bypass the heater core but you won't have any heat. If you're on a tight budget or don't have the time, bypassing the core and purchasing a 12v electric car heater is the route I would take, look for a link on this page for an electric heater, or just click this link: http://www.newtonsuniverse.com/index...FQv7agodL04s4A |

Re: Heathing system radiator
Heater core, that's how you call it in the states, right? We call it "radiatore del riscaldamento" in Italy... That's why of my weird question!
Anyways, it is not a bad idea to bypass it and mount an electric heater, thank you. |
