Re: any issues with `o5 F-150
I have a 97 f150 4.2 L engine and I get about 600km per tank. I think that would roughly come out to about 30 mpg give or take a gallon. I have not had a single problem with the engine. All I've ever had to do was change the drive belt and oil changes.
I've heard that in the year that I bought the truck they had some gasket issues but your 05 probably doesn't have the same issues anyhow. I don't drive it as a work horse but every so often I will pull a trailer for my own uses and it seems to be able to handle the loads I put on it. I'm happy with it anyhow. |

Re: any issues with `o5 F-150
I'm not sure how big the tank is actually. I usually pay somewhere around 80 - 90 bucks (canadian) and that is roughly paying 1.00 per liter. So if we do the math the tank must be close to holding 80 - 90 liters of gas.
If you need gallons I'm not sure what the conversion to gallons would be but I'm sure a quick google would give the formula on that. Ok I went and did the conversion for you. roughly if we say 85 liters it would be 22.45 gallons. for the tank. (That is assuming the tank is actually that big.) I should say one other thing though. My truck does not have the extended cab attached. I have a long box though. The truck your looking at may be heavier and that possibly could affect gas milage abit. |

I believe all gas sold in Canada has a percentage of ethanol gas. What the percentage is, is not known by me. It doesn't seem to affect milage all to much. At least nothing terribly noticable.

Esso has 7.5% in all grades. I am not sure about the others. Ethanol has only about 70% of the BTU energy as gasoline, so using a 5% fuel blend will reduce mileage by about 1%, although there are other factors involved that will affect mileage. |
