What color is my paint?

Ok well as some of you may know my car was repainted somewhere between 88-90 i [i]think[i] and i don't know what color it was cause my grandma did chose the colors. I believe both of the colors are Ford. Heres some pictures

This is an old pic that i cropped so it might not be the best quality but its too late to take a picture cause its dark now.

No my caprice was re-painted a non chevy color when my grandma owned it cause she didn't like brown. So its not factory. But mine used to be the exact same two tone brown that yours was. You can still see it on the inside of the doors

Re: What color is my paint?

Yeah i'm not sure if it was painted by maaco. I'll work on getting more info on the history of the car today if i can. Hopefully i can find some time to take a few close up pics. I'll have those up soon though.

Re: What color is my paint?

Look in the trunk area for a paint code starting with an U and take that to an autobody paint store to find out.It will be on the trunklid or on the spare tire cover somewhere

Those codes are useless in this case as those are not original colors.

Here is what I would do. You said those are perhaps Ford colors. Find a paint store and see if you can get a set of paint chips (even if only to use in the parking lot). Compare the colors on the paint chips (these are cards with varying shades of a particular color on them) and you should find your match. It will be helpful if you knew about what model year those Ford colors might be, but that's not absolutely necessary. Anyone at a paint store should be able to help.

Out here in Arizona (Mesa, to be specific), we have Space Age Body and Paint, and they have been an immense help in determining colors for me.
