time mistake
what chances do I have to have a ticket dismissed based on the wrong time stated on it. The officer checked the AM box instead of the PM box.
Thank you in advance for your answers |

Re: time mistake
Probably very little for a minor mistake like that, unless you can prove you and the car were nowheres in that vicinity during the time stated on the ticket. I guess it varies on the judge and/or your argument. Many years ago I received a ticket for something and the cop transposed my birth date with the date of the infraction. I tried to get tit tossed based on that technicality, but the judge said we're all human and we all make mistakes. I've seen others with similar errors on their tickets still hold up at court. Good luck though if you plan to fight it.

Re: time mistake
Agreed; if you can prove that you were somewhere else at the a.m. time then perhaps you can get out of it; but if that's the ONLY thing, then it's likely the due process of law will get you.
I'll be interested in hearing how this comes out....when's your court date?
