Starting Problem

It starts... yeah... but not before I keep turning it for like 15 seconds.... Feels like, it's building compression or something and then... brrrrr it starts..... Once started, runs fine.... another thing, if you turn it off and restart immediately it will start with no problem.... I changed spark plugs today ... spent an hour in Autozone parking lot... uhhhhh.... Mechanic says it's injectors, but I don't believe him - all mechanics are biased... Any hope for a man already burdened by every imaginable problem?

Thanks

Re: Starting Problem

Replace fuel filter if it hasnt been done lately, then check the fuel pressure regulator. See if it is leaking.

Thanks for replying. All been done. Repaced pump and filter half a year ago. Could it be ignition?

Re: Starting Problem

I havent done one so cant speak from experience, but those who have said it can be difficult. Apparently the screws and one clip are difficult to get to. It can be done though, just need some patience.
