And the cause of my hard start / low speed stall condition was.....
A bad fuel pressure regulator.
I tried replacing many of the usual suspects, and parts that seemed logical, including a new CPS as outlined in my original thread on this subject. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=916619 Saturday, I dropped the car off at a shop to run diagnostics on it. They called me back a couple hours later to tell me the regulator was shot and that is was running full rich. Now, I had earlier in the summer checked the fuel pressure and it was fine. Why I didn't check it again after this problem started, I don't know. Picked up a new regulator and the car on Monday, and after spending 5 minutes replacing it, the car now pops right off when I turn the key, and no longer has any of the stalling, hunting tach needle problems. Just wanted to give an update, and thank all of those that gave me advice along the way.
