Re: Interior Carpet

depends on how good you are, i'm still trying to figure out the inner rear quater panels, but i was thinking of changing it to a suade or something else lightweight. i wouldn't know what it's like on a 3/s, i did it on my 944, i think the 944 is a lil more difficult. if i remember my stealth(havent seen looked for a few months) the floorboard and hatch is pretty flat.

are you removing the rear seats?

i removed the carpet because it looked aged and i wanted hollowfiber so that it weighs less...i'm going for a track prep'd car that's still usable daily till i can get a 911. i did run out of patience wit the car today. its sitting now with only the front completely done.

Re: Interior Carpet

yeah i already removed the rear seats and they are already at the upholstry shop getting redone in black and white vinyl..

i think im going to order the carpet from that site you gave me though, im going to call them and see if i can get an extra foot or two to do the middle console myself.. i dont think that was too hard concidering the fact it was just stapled onto the plastic..

Re: Interior Carpet

The only thing about using just a flat piece of carpet is getting it to look right. The stock carpet is molded to fit the curves and crevices.

Re: Interior Carpet

^ yup, that's why i'm doing the spot my back seats occupied last. as for my hatch i'm esentially cutting the same pattern that the stock carpet is plus a lil for final fitment and underlap. sometimes the insulation helps with getting rid of some of the crevices/curves to the metal, but other times you sit there for a few minutes till you have it completely planned in your head, then start and relize its still not right.

How dark do you mean, i would really prefer black concidering the fact its the color coordination that i am going for. And as long as its like not completely freakin ugly looking carpet, ( i would like a picture ) then i would probably purchase it off of you.

As for a price, I found this new one online ( thank you vector ) that i can purchase new for $118.. so depending on the condition of the carpet and what not we would have to figure something out. If you have AIM my sn is mydownfall00.
