Blend Door Jerry Rig?

We have a 1996, and when we bought it, the previous owner had rigged the blend door open with a screw driver. Well stupid me this summer tried to get the air conditioning working, and took the screw driver out. Fast forward to the cold days now starting, and I cannot get the screw driver in the same way the previous owner had it.

Anybody know what the trick to jerry rigging the blend door open so heat works?

you might consider buying a new actuator. I think mine was around $30. worth it in my opinion.
