I have suffered extremely bad service and workmanship from a BMW dealer. What I want to talk about here though is the reaction of BMW themselves when I complained to them. Quite simply they just don't appear interested in the matter at all. Here are a few quotes from their letters:
"As a main BMW franchised dealership, Prophets are entirely responsible for their own actions" "Regrettably, as a company BMW (GB) Ltd are unable to offer you any further assistance. If you wish to take the matter further, your concerns need to be addressed to Prophets and your insurance company who were both initially happy with the repair" "Whilst I can sympathise with your concerns, and sincerely regret that this matter has not been resolved to your satisfaction, we must remember that both the dealership and your insurers were satisfied with the quality of the repair. Both parties are equally as professional in their respective areas and we would therefore have no reason to doubt their opinions. In additions, it is not in the interest of the dealership that you should remain a dissatisfied customer and with that in mind, I'm sure they would have taken appropriate action if necessary" I know there are good and bad dealers. I have the photos to show just how bad the repairs are. Prophets (Sytner) are hiding behind their claim that the insurance company accepted the repairs but are unable to provide any evidence of this. BMW support their dealer to the hilt and aren't even prepared to inspect the photos. Has anybody else had a similar experience? |

BMW dealer are all about the money. Everything their is at least 5 times the amount at another place. I went there to see if i could get the light in my key fixed and it was 8 dollars for a battery. at radio shack they have batteries for less than1/5 that. then i had to get a new lightbulb. that was 5 bucks more. the total was 14 bucks just to fix a light in my key.
another example was that they had keychains there and they look real nice but the price on them is outrageous. the price for the keychain is 21 bucks. that is a complete rip off. Thats why i think next summer i am going to try to get a job there cause the one near me always has a completely packed repair center and that means a lot of money. |
