Another paint question

A while back i did the stupidest thing someone could EVER do to their car. I ended up ripping some of the clear coat off cause i used tape to hold a tarp over the back window since i was doing work on the trunk and a bad storm came. It wasn't even duct tape! So now theres a big mark on the trunk where the clear coat is gone. And a little bit on the roof. Luckily the trunk wasn't in the best condition to begin with but i'm still beside myself. Is there anything i can do to fix this?? I have a feeling i'm gunna need to repaint the whole trunk now . The other problem is i don't even know what color it is. When my grandma owned the car she had painted a Ford color ironically. I think its that light blue you see on the first gen Ford explorers actually.

Re: Another paint question

So just the clear coat is gone? No paint? If so I think you can just wetsand the clear and just lay down another layer of clear coat and you should be fine if no paint it actually gone from the car.

Ok so none of the paint is gone. Its just the clear coat so thats good news. One more thing though. Do i have to wetsand the whole trunk? Or just the area where the clear is gone?
