Hot Damn! Two Races In The Stealth!

I went to a TD meet last night and I took the Stealth. Afterward some of us went to one of the other guy's house to get some parts. He drives a Dodge Daytona Iroc R/T. He's got it pretty well modded. We pull up next to each other on Bangeter highway. He gave it three honks and we went. He started to pull but then his clutch started to slip. He shifted and went again and pulled but I could tell he was having problems. He got me both times. I started out in 2nd, I should have down shifted. He started in first and it turns out he was running over 30 PSI. So, I don't feel too bad about getting beaten. I only wish I hadn't under estimated him and started in 1st. I also really wanted to try him from a dead stop.

After we got to his place we diagnosed the car and came to the conclusion that he had lifted his head. And he said don't feel bad that you lost. At least you're driving home.

On the way home it has begun to snow. Some spots were worse than others but I held my speed at 5 MPH above as the roads were only wet. I came to a VW Golf GTI who didn't want to be passed as he sped up. Eventually we came to a light. I kept blipping the throttle. I got it up to about 3,500 RPM. He kept inching up. The light turned green and I dumped the clutch. I honestly don't know if he floored it or not. I slipped ever so slightly and then ripped out of the hole. I had put well over a bus length on him, maybe two, by the time he was through the intersection.

I love AWD launches.

Well, I now have my sanity back for another week. Now it's back to driving the Escape.

Niceee. So when do we see the Escape sig pic? haha

AWD launch FTW. Never a bad thing... except when it starts to break parts.

Sometimes it's a good thing to be RWD only... let the damn thing spin... less chances of breaking something. Plus it looks kewl (just not practical.) :P

Re: Hot Damn! Two Races In The Stealth!

unless you have big ass slicks, but if you are daily driving with slicks you should be shot in the head.

Nice races, I wish I could launch hard like that! I can launch way harder than most FWD cars, now that I have the TD and boost limit.

Re: Hot Damn! Two Races In The Stealth!

Billings gets 14 inches over night, and we get rain. WTF?

Anyways, yes, thats what I meant Torched. But as far as the fast FWD cars go, we can launch pretty good. Just as Metzger or Zimmerman

Or Brock

Metzger and zimmerman should be beatable from a dig...srt-4s with no traction mods = us stockish as far as digs go. Metzger from a roll though....He wont tell me what he did but he is spiking 21 psi and holding 19 to redline.

And brock.........412whp at 14psi in an RSX = roll monster. On his street tires he has no traction until mid 4th, DR's he starts to grab at 55....needless to say he is currently looking for slicks.

Polygon and SL, I demand videos of AWD snow fun this winter!

Re: Hot Damn! Two Races In The Stealth!

Alright, Matt, I'll put the Escape in the sig even though it's not mine but it has to be something cool or at least funny. I work something up.

As for some AWD donuts this year. I promised the TT I'd never drive it in the snow again, but I'll make an exception.

Also, THIS JUST IN!!!! The snow sucks major balls!!!!

Re: Hot Damn! Two Races In The Stealth!

I love my post whore dance mascots! I do wish they were naked women, but the fact they are animals makes it all the creepier/funnier. I do that dance now whenever I feel like being retarded. it gets some looks.

I want snow so I can snowboard/drift
