Transmission Questions on a 1998 GMC Sonoma

how does the filter fit in the transmission? Is there a clip that holds it. Or a groove in the housing itself that will hold it until pan is put on? Does the filter rest on the bottom of the pan?

Thanks
Railroadman

Rotate and pull downward.

Tons of pics from fluid and filter swap 4L60e at forums.corvetteforum.com, user Schrade, thread title "tranny fluid and filter swap".

Can't link it / banned...
