1999 sable HELP

im getting a 1999 mercury sable when i drive it, it will go into all gears and drives perfect but when ever i want to get up to speed and put it to the floor it will slip just a bit do i need a new tranny or is there another problem im 17 this will be my first car can anyone help me i can fix it if i kinda know whats wrong with it thanx

You might want to check the tranny fluid level if you have not already. If it shifts smoothly when driving normally, there should not be anything to worry about. BUT, and not to sound like a parent...do yourself and your wallet a favor...do not beat your car - this one or any you get in the future - they'll last longer.

thanx ohh i dont abuse my cars the longer they last the better thanx again
