Supercharger Belt
The belt for the supercharger on my 98 SSEi broke. I didn't even know it had done so until I opened the hood to install a new fog lamp. It appears that the wheel attached to the supercharger has some kind of fabric residue on it. My question is, will I have to replace that wheel, and how difficult is it to put a new belt on the supercharger?

Re: Supercharger Belt
You can use a wire brush and clean the “fabric residue” from the pulley. Be sure to check the idler & tensioner pulleys, especially the one located @ the 1 o-clock position just above the harmonic balancer. If this particular pulley failed; unless you have the proper tools & jack, it would be better to take the car to a trusted shop for replacement.
If you prefer to DIY, we can provide some more details. It is not an easy job! BTW, it is best to replace both idlers and the tensioner pulley at the same time you replace the belt.
