Aluminum Intake manifold gaskets

Can anyone telll me about the aluminum intake manifold gaskets for a 97gp with the 3.8liter. I have heard of replacements that will not fail like the originals. Im looking for a place to purchase the parts, maybe a link to it.

Thanks

Re: Aluminum Intake manifild gaskets

Visit our Tips & Maintenance forum which has the pics and GM part numbers of the revised GM aluminum framed port gaskets. See link below. The only difference between the old LIM gaskets and the newer is they are aluminum framed versus plastic. Whether the new GM LIM gaskets are any better remains to be seen.

Information on Aluminum Framed Lower Intake Manifold Gaskets for SII 3800

I prefer and use the FelPro aftermarket LIM gasket kit which is still plastic framed. See pic below.

FelPro part number MS95809-1
