You have an electric motor driving a hydraulic pump. It's located behind the back seat. I posted all the information you need on the LeBaron board on September 15th. Someone with a LeBaron convertible had the same problem. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Start by removing the back seat.

Yes, I am serious. If I had been joking, you would have realized that already. But at least the convertible top motor is easier to get at than the heater core!
