A/C blows Hot air in all modes- 2005 LS
I just repaired my 2005 LS, Thanks to forums like this one. The symptom was:
A/C blows Hot air in all modes. I Replaced the Heater Control Valve located at the radiator support. It was a fairly easy swap that took me about 20 min.
The part cost approximately $170 tax incl. from my local Ford dealer.
Prior to replacing the valve, I checked the DATC circuit fuse and tried to get the codes.
My car would blow hotter air as it got warmer. I blocked the hoses to the heater control valve, using vise grips and checked the A/C while the car was cold and noticed a big difference. At that point I narrowed it down to either my DATC or the Heater Control Valve. I went ahead and replaced the cheaper and easier part to change.
