06 Grand Prix... Low Oil level light & Keyless Entry

First problem, my oil level warning on the display keeps turning on just about every time I start the car. I check my oil all the time and the level is fine. It even came on directly after getting a new filter and oil change. I saw a few things on boards saying stuff about oil pressure and or sensors... if so, is there anything I can do before spending tons taking it in? Or does anyone have any other thoughts/ideas/suggestions?

2nd, My keyless entry works only when it feels like it. My main remote, and the spare do the exact same thing. Yesterday it worked all day fine, then, last night, and now today, it does not work, it will probably work just fine tomorrow, its been off and on now for a few months now. I know 2004 models and up have to be taken in to GM for a re-program, I just dont know if they need a re-program when they work 1/2 the time, I'm thinking it has to be something else. Especially when its "both" sets that do the same thing. and... wouldn't a 2006 be to new to need new batteries, especially in the spare set that never gets used?

Any help to either subject, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you to all in advance.
Have a wonderful day.

Re: 06 Grand Prix... Low Oil level light & Keyless Entry

dont overlook the simple things. I would buy a set of batterys for the remotes first. I believe mine takes a 2032, so if you buy a two pack for 2.99, you can replace both battery's.

What motor do you have? If its the 3800, and GM hasn't redesigned the oil pan, check the front of it for the oil level sensor. maybe unplug it and check for corrosion and plug it back in. Check for frayed wires or a bad ground. If they look good, I would just replace it.

Re: 06 Grand Prix... Low Oil level light & Keyless Entry

I have a 2004 GTP and my low oil light kept coming on every time I would start the car, I brought it into a Pontiac dealer today and he said my oil sensor was shorting out. My light would come on most of the time but not all. They would have charge me 100.00 to change it I found the part at a local automotive store for about $15-20. I would try changing this first.
