Cant find an oil leak

Hello All,

I have this crazy oil leak on my 2000 Leganza and i am not sure where it is coming from. I have narrowed it down to the bottom end of the motor. It is a constant drip right below the crank pulley. WHAT IS IT??????? Please help.

Thanks,
Jason

Re: Cant find an oil leak

hello, if your sure its not coming from above then it sounds like the crankshaft seal is leaking.the seal can be seen looking behind the crankshaft pulley.removal is'nt hard but timing belt will have to come off.if belt is old or is getting wet with oil you may/should want to replace.Good Luck!!!

Re: Cant find an oil leak

there is a oil pump gasket that can blow out. I had the same thing you have to pull the pan to get to it but isn't really a big deal if you have a hoist.
