MIL light threw a P0410 code.

Hi I came across another problem today. i was driving as i went to accelerate to get on to the highway the car hesitated and then took off and the MIL came on. when i ran the code it was P0410 anyone knows what it is and what i need to replace to fix it?

Re: MIL light threw a P0410 code.

I had this code come on on my 01 S-10. It's the air injection pump. What happens is water will collect on the pump and it freezes and will cause the pump to fail and to blow it's fuse. The fuse is located(S-10) in the engine bay behind the battery. You might want to check your fuse first. In the S-10 situation this has been a big problem with the S-10's. I had mine replaced under warranty twice and it failed both times. So I said to heck with it and covered the CEL with a black tape and have been driving it that way for 4 years. My truck still runs very good. I would gladley buy a new pump($80)and fix it but from what I hear it will only fail again. If someone has a good fix for this problem please let us know.
