ZZP HID Headlight Mod

Hey guys, I was considering doing the ZZP headlight HID Mod to my car. I was just hoping I could get some feedback or tips and tricks to install it from someone who has been there and done that.

Basically right now only want to do the headlights and not the fog lights. I'm a little worried that this will look dorky with HID's for headlights and regular incondescant for foglights. Anyone have a picture of their car like this?

Also where did you guys install all the components? Have any pictures? Thanks guys!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: ZZP HID Headlight Mod

well...i can try and explain it to you. my GTX is in storage right now so i cant take a pic for you. the ballasts can be mounted on the bar that goes across right where your hood latches. i cant think of the name of the part, but if you look right when you open your hood, theres the support that goes across...you mount the ballasts on the front part of the bar...towards the grill.

as far as not having the fogs...it does look dumb if you dont have the fog light kit, so i always just leave the fog lights off.

if you have any questions, or need further details...i can just take a pic underneath the hood of my GT or SE and point out exactly where i mounted the ballasts.

Re: ZZP HID Headlight Mod

Thank you! If it looks dumb without the fogs HID kit, I should probably consider both of them. Might have too many ballasts and things mounted all over the place.

BTW, I think your referring to the radiator core support.

Re: ZZP HID Headlight Mod

another thing i was looking at when i was considering buying the fog light kit is where to mount the ballasts for the fogs. i dont think the connecting wires that go from the ballast to the fog lense would be long enough to go from the the radiator support all the way down, and i wouldnt really feel safe mounting the ballasts towards the bottom of the car cuz then they are open to the debris and weather that is on the roads.

and with us up here in the midwest...if you drive the car in the winter, well...you know what I'm gettin at

Duh! Now I feel stupid!

Yep, washed and waxed my car one day in may when the temp got up to 70's finally, and then two weeks later June, we got a foot or so of snow. I was pissed!
