94 Chevy Cavalier Z24 3.1 Timing chain issues
Ok, so heres the issue,
Driving home from work a few days ago and my Timing Chain snapped, no big deal right? Got an aftermarket Timing chain, replaced it. Now the car starts, but its runs like absolute crap! Thought maybe it was leaking air somewhere, replaced some valve covers (which needed to be done as the person I bought it from obviously never did) cleaned everything up. This helped a little, it stays running a bit longer now, but it still running horrible. Next order or buisness was to check the plug wires. Its a 6 cyclinder so 3 coil packs, 3 and 6 on 1, 1 and 4 on another, and 2 and 5 on another. Plug 1,5,6 are not sparking worth crap. Also note that those wires cover all 3 coil packs. So we ordered some new plug wires. Waiting on those to be put in. Just trying to get some input here, expecially if those plug wires don't fix the issue, any ideas? |
