95 mercury villager

My 95 Mercury Villager is giving me two codes, one is 3/3 and 3/4... I already replaced the oxygen sensor but the other code which is knock sensor have not replaced yet. Though I replaced the oxygen sensor, the code is still there. I replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, cleaned the carburetor port , I even cleaned the injectors...Can you give me any advise? Thanks.

Re: 95 mercury villager

Check the wires going to the oxygen sensor there may be one that is broken.

How old are the plug wires and the distributor cap and rotor.

As for the knock sensor they very seldom fail. The code is normally set by a vibration or failure of some other part. Once you clear the oxygen sensor code more than likely the knock sensor code will disappear.

Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you some helpful info.
