radio 1998 voyager

I would like to place my am/fm/cd/cass. radio in my boat since the car is a right off.I have it wired up for the speakers and power but can not get it to work. I only get the clock to light up when I push the volume button. No reaction when I turn it on. Is rhere some other component that I need to make it work?

Have you grounded the case of the radio? Remember that braided ground wire from the back of the case to the car body? It needs to be hooked up for the radio to work. Found that out when I replaced the one in my van.
