What to Get?!

Allright, heres my dillema,
I just moved to colorado from vegas. Right now I have a ss/t ram, however once winter comes around I believe I'm going to have a problem w/ the snow and ice. The truck is paid off, and I'm looking at spending around 30k. Insurance is another problem no accidents but im in early 20s.

Anway, here's what I'm looking at:

Evo VIII, awd, power, would be a blast to drive around.

Sub WRX, awd, not as much power, kinda gay lookin (no offense WRX owners :P)

Possibly another Dodge or misc truck, but they're really gutless tho .

I'd appreciate any feedback on cars from 25-35k, any make model that would handle well in weather and would have fun driving. Anything from offroading, racing, to cruising. Thanks

Yeah, the LanEvo is a great choice, but we also are getting the WRX STI, which should have 261hp when it arrives in north america. Expect the LanEvo do be down on power from Jspec as well, due to emissions and lower octane.

The STI should be here next year, or so says Subaru.

My lugnut requires more torque than your LS1 makes.

By the end of the year, subaru vows to have a new, attractive front fascia for the WRX

Are they going to have any mechanical changes to acompany the fascia? Or will it be the standard WRX?

And btw, are there any good sites for getting info on the STI?

For 30K you can get yourself a nice as hell Ram 4X4. They are hardly gutless. Not as fast as a WRX, but a whole lot nicer to ride in.

I was thinking about that, the only ram id get tho would be the Hemi which they're going to be releasing shortly (or the ram srt-10, but thats only 2wheel ). I dunno tho, I think I may be done with trucks... you tend to get abused... everyone all of a sudden wants to move shit :P.

Yes, I saw it in road and track. I have to say it does look better than the current design, but it is still a little boxy.

This site is out dated , Subaru is bringing over the STI, or so says Road & Track.

It's really a matter of personal choice between a LanEvo or an STI. If it doesn't have to be a new car, get an All Trac Celica and rebuild the engine/drivetrain. Those cars fly, and think of what you could do with the extra money...
