89 C2500 manual transmission problems.

Wondered if anyone might have some insights into a problem I'm having with my manual C2500. Got stuck in it and screwed up the clutch trying to rock my way out. Truck will shift when the engine is off but not while it is running. Anyone have any ideas? How hard of a job would the repair be? And does anyone know of any good manuals on the subject?

Thanks for the help.

Fixing what ever is screwed up with the clutch would go a long way to solving your shifting troubles. Haynes manuals are a starting point although they are very generic in some respects. Public libraries are a source for OEM manuals.
