1995 GCL has codes but no CEL

My GCL 5.2 is running pretty good except when its underload in 3rd gear then i get the shuttering, not bad but enough to aggrevate.

I did the ignition off/on thingy and i got codes 32 and 44 then 55 of course, I then restarted engine and let run for 5 mins and retried codes and all i got was 55 this timew, hmnnnn.

Anyway my Q is this why doesnt CEL come on when its running bad, codes shows maybe an issue with EGR system?

Is this a TPS issue with maybe some bad gas in the tank? Because the jeep runs really good at 3/4 throttle hehe.. Even the idle isnt that bad.

strange?

HELP!

Thanks

mobby

Re: 1995 GCL has codes but no CEL

Some codes have to stay through so many key on key off cycles before it is stored as a trouble code.Until then they are pending. The 55 is end of codes.Nothing important.
