quaker state multi vehicle atf ok for 2000 windstar
Hi
In the process of dropping the pan and replacing the filter on my 2000 3.8. The Ford dealer is closed here and the only fluid I have available is Quaker state multi vehicle ATF http://www.quakerstate.com/products_...ion_fluid.aspx Has anyone used this? Is it ok? I'm only going to do the pan and filter, not a full flush as I did that 20000 km ago. So, the Ford mercon V will be mixed with the quaker state multi vehicle atf. Is this ok?? Piper

Re: quaker state multi vehicle atf ok for 2000 windstar
I have not personally used this quaker state multi vehicle ATF but it states that it is okay to use it in transmissions calling for Mercon V so you should be able to mix it with the mercon v that is currently in the transmission. You should not have any problems but if you do the worst case senario is that you will have to change out all of the fluid.
