2000 ford explorer DRL's not turning off
My daytime running lights will not turn off. Disconnecting the battery cable is the only way. Anybody have any suggestions to the problem?

Re: 2000 ford explorer DRL's not turning off
Do you want to keep them working, or would you be happy with them just being disconnected?
I did a quick search on the forum and it sounds like it's been pretty common for Explorers to have issues with the Daytime Running Lights. However I didn't see anyone who's really fixed them other than replacing the DRL module. I'm not sure what that costs. You will probably need to find a wiring diagram to properly diagnose the DRLs. -Rod |

I need the lights to function as per local laws. I will check the module. Do you know where it is located on the vehicle and how it might be labelled?
Thanks for the reply. |
