Wiring kits

Hey, cool forum you guys got here.

I love my Passport and need to install a hitch with a wiring kit. Here's what I had picked out. Hitch. Wiring.

I just need to know if these will work with my Passport ('01 LX with spare beneath the rear).

Thanks for the info!

Re: Wiring kits

The hitch wont work if you want to keep your spare tire. That one is for the spare on the tail gate. You need one that curves out to fit around the spare.

wow! thats an old pic.

The wiring might work but there is a much simpler kit made by hoppy. Isuzu prewired a plug to connect trailer wiring to and this plugs into it.

Thanks Gizmo. Looks like I have to go for the Reese. I'll look into the Hoppy too. Thanks a lot!

Re: Wiring kits

Wow that reese is expensive. Suspensionconnection has a round tube thats cheaper.

Mine is a Curt Mfg model # 13222 If you google it you can find lots of places selling it for around $100-130. Mine has taken a beating from off roading and never moved, bent, or broken.

Re: Wiring kits

Glad it all worked out for you. Most ppl usually have trouble finding the factory plug to plug the Hoppy into.
