86 Tempo fuel pump relay location?

Please, can someone tell me where it is? It is a friends car. Sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't. She replaced the fuel pump, but has the same problem. I told her maybe it's the relay. Thanks.

Re: 86 Tempo fuel pump relay location?

http://www.ebay.com/ item number 380049022545 This is what a Ford relay looks like. Original Ford is green color. Sometimes they have a hard plastic cover over them.
I don't know where this one is but they are usually along the fender or firewall.
Sometimes on a trunk hinge, look and it should be easy to spot. Check the computer ground in the pass. side kick panel and at the battery.

Re: 86 Tempo fuel pump relay location?

Thanks for replying rhandwor. The relay was under the d side dash. It was green like you say. The AM part was all black and shaped differently. But the thing fit. I hope it fixed the prob. The damn thing started anyway. Thanks
